Soft Economy is a research project wherein we, Anna Wolfe-Pauly and Dorian Braun engage with the question, “how do we give attention?”

We offer a workshop called “Tender Surface,” that invites people to become soft and slow towards their own experience, to participate in their own understanding, and to engage in the world from a state of deep slo-mo. We only care for the things we value. When we are soft we become responsive to the impressions made on our surfaces. This is an act of care for our experience. Caring for the response is the acknowledgment that you have been affected. The course intends to introduce the Soft Economy as a place from where you can uncover your way of giving attention and regard it as a valuable resource.
